The junior high and high school are mailing out progress reports today, Thursday the 12th. We also included a letter explaining some options that are available if you are concerned about your child's grades. If you do not receive your child's progress report within a couple of days please contact the appropriate office and let us know. We have several students who are struggling and we want to do everything we can to help them recover by the end of the semester which is December 18th.

All students will be on Distance Learning for Thursday, November 12th. We will make a decision on Friday pertaining to next week. The number of staff and students either positive or in quarantine are the reason for the switch. We appreciate your patience as we work through these issues. Alt Ed will continue as scheduled and JH Basketball practice has been canceled for the week.
The Varsity Football team will be in a playoff game this Saturday, November 14 at 2:00 PM. The game is at Vinita; if you plan on attending please review their COVID policies here.

Alternative Education students will have class as normal this week.
Parents of junior high and high school students as we continue distance learning for the next week please keep a couple of things in mind. First, please make sure your child is completely shutting down their Chromebook every few days. This will make sure it is up-to-date and working properly. Also, they should be receiving and completing work every day. For attendance purposes we are asking the students to check-in twice a week but that only applies to attendance. Remind them their work needs to be completed by the due dates on the assignment. If you are concerned about your child’s grade, please contact the appropriate office to get assistance. Thank you
Westville Public Schools will have PK-4th grade in attendance at school starting Monday, November 9. 5th grade - 12th grade will continue distance learning. The buses will be running. Please note that if a student is struggling with distance learning in grades 5-12 you may contact their teacher and Principal to set up times to get help at school. We will give updates as needed.
Westville Public Schools will all be going Distance Learning the remainder of the week for grades PK-12. We have been slammed by positive tests and quarantines at all levels. The staff of the school has been hit the hardest. Please be patient as we work through this situation. Alt School will still be in attendance at this time and we will serve meals for the remainder of the week between 11 am - 12 pm tomorrow. We will make a decision on Friday about next week.

7th - 12th grade students will be returning to our normal in class learning starting this Monday, November 2nd. Friday will be a virtual day as normal.
Homecoming is the only thing postponed. The football game against Stigler will start at 7:00 pm as scheduled.
Due to Covid-related issues we regretfully are forced to postpone Homecoming at this time. We will be honoring these ladies with a Homecoming Parade and Ceremony at a later date. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this crazy time when so many things are out of our control.
Due to the weather forecast for tomorrow, the homecoming parade will be cancelled. Homecoming will be at the Football field on Friday as planned.
In order to ensure it's not too dark, the Homecoming Parade times for tomorrow have been changed to line up at 5:00 and parade at 5:30.

Tonight's Varsity Girl's Basketball Scrimmage at Okmulgee has been postponed due to weather. This will be rescheduled, and the new date is TBA.

Elementary teachers will send notes home to their students this week to let parents know if Halloween costumes will be allowed in that class. If you have any questions, you will need to contact your child's teacher(s) directly.

All junior high and high school students will do virtual distance learning Monday, October 26th through Friday, October 30th. This is due to the fact that we have several teachers who have to be quarantined next week not because the students are at risk. We do not have enough subs to cover everyone. This only applies to the students. Teachers and support, who are not quarantined, will continue to work at school and be available to assist the students who are at home. Elementary students will continue to come in person to school as usual. This move to distance learning will not affect homecoming. Homecoming will move forward as planned.
