🌟 Staff Spotlight: Bret Barton! 🌟
Join us in recognizing Bret Barton for his hard work and dedication! 👏 With 12 years of teaching experience, Bret has taught several different grades, from 5th to 12th. While science is his favorite subject, he has also enjoyed teaching geography and had a blast teaching PE during summer school!
Outside the classroom, Bret stays busy working on his farm, raising chickens, cattle, and even corgis! 🐓🐄🐶 His whole family is part of the Westville Yellowjackets, and they love being part of the community!
If he could give his past self one piece of advice, it would be: "Don’t worry so much—things always work out for the greater good!" 💛
Thank you for everything you do, Bret! 💛🐝

🔬 Mrs. Smith’s 4th Graders Explore Molecular Movement! 🌊
Mrs. Smith’s 4th grade class had a blast testing how molecules move in different temperatures! 🧪💙
When room temperature dye was dropped into cold water (the taller glass bottle), the higher-energy dye molecules were attracted to the colder molecules. At first, the blue dye spread slowly across the top, but over time, the molecules moved toward equilibrium, creating an even blue color.
In the square container, they flipped the experiment—dropping room temperature dye into warm water. Since the dye molecules were colder and denser, they sank to the bottom.
This hands-on experiment was a fun way to see molecular movement in action and learn how convection currents work! Great job, 4th graders! 👏🔬
