Thank You, Nathan Smith, for Over a Decade of Service We are profoundly grateful to Nathan Smith and his family for over 10 years of dedicated service to the Westville Board of Education. His leadership has been instrumental in several key projects, including the 2014 bond election, the construction of the 5th & 6th Grade Building, and the recent $1.9 million Early Childhood Building, funded through ARP dollars in 2024. These projects reflect his focus on providing better facilities and learning environments for Westville students. Nathan has held various roles, including Board President, and has consistently demonstrated thoughtfulness and a strong commitment to students, staff, and the community. His lasting impact will be felt for years to come. Thank you, Nathan, for your ongoing support of Westville Public Schools.

🌟 Weekly Staff Spotlight 🌟 This week, we’re excited to spotlight two incredible staff members — Megan Bateman and CJ Erter! 💜Megan Bateman Megan is in her fifth year as the Superintendent’s Secretary, bringing a strong spirit of Westville to her role as a proud graduate. She has two wonderful children currently in elementary school and enjoys spending time outdoors—whether it is hunting, fishing, or camping. She’s always ready for a spontaneous road trip with her family. "One thing I wish I could tell myself when I first started working here is to enjoy each day and hold on tight because time flies!" 💛 CJ Erter CJ is wrapping up her first year as the Elementary Assistant Counselor and is already making a meaningful difference! She’s currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Developmental Psychology and brings a lifetime of wisdom as a proud mom of five daughters and grandma to seven amazing grandchildren. Her favorite part of the job? Building relationships with students and being someone they can count on. "One thing I wish I could tell myself when I first started working here... Some will break your heart. Each hug will help heal it.” We’re so thankful to have these amazing women as part of our Westville team! 💜

🌟 Weekly Staff Spotlight: Brandy Allen 🌟 Meet Brandy Allen! Brandy is our fantastic Nurse Office Secretary and Soonercare Billing Clerk. She has been a dedicated member of our team for nearly 24 years, starting in August 2000! Throughout the years, Brandy has had the special joy of watching both of her sons grow up and attend school here. One of her favorite parts of the job is hearing the interesting and often hilarious stories that students share throughout the day. When she’s not working, Brandy loves spending time with her family and friends, especially when it involves outdoor adventures like camping or relaxing at the lake. 🏕️☀️ 💬 “What is one thing you wish you could tell yourself when you first started working here?” “I never dreamed I would meet so many interesting people and make so many lifelong friendships.” We’re so lucky to have you, Brandy! 💙
