This week, we're thrilled to highlight Amber Carlton! Born and raised in Westville, Amber has been a dedicated member of our team for 11 years. She spent 7.5 years as a teacher's assistant before becoming a Certified Teacher, and for the past four years, she's been shaping young minds as a first-grade teacher.
Amber's favorite part of teaching? It's that magical moment when something a student has been working hard on finally clicks, and they truly understand it. 💡✨
Everyone can tell Amber loves working here! She always has a smile on her face and is constantly trying new ways to help her students succeed. Her goal is to "make students feel more loved when they leave her class than when they arrived." ❤️

During tonight's board meeting, we received reports of refreezing on two bus routes. After reassessment, the following changes are in place:
* White/Clearfork Route: Will only run Chewy Road and Hwy 62.
* Black/Piney Route: Will only run Piney Road and Alberty Cemetery Road; it will not run Hilltop Acres, Stateline Road, or the route to Stateline Road.
Drivers will use their discretion to avoid unsafe areas tomorrow. If a route is impassable, families will be notified. Plan for limited routes and potential disruptions. Absences will not count if travel is unsafe; students may attend virtually.

School will be in session tomorrow! However, due to road conditions, two bus routes will be limited: the Purple/Chewy route will not go down River Road, and the Green/Adilee route will not go down Hammer Hollow Road. All other routes should run normally. After assessing roads across our district this evening, we’ve found significant issues: 2 bus routes would not be able to run at all, 4 routes are limited, and most dirt roads that have not been graded pose challenges. Therefore, Westville Public Schools will shift to distance learning/virtual instruction tomorrow. Thank you for your understanding.
