"As most of you know, the SNAP Food Benefits for families will end on November 1st until a resolution can take place with the government shutdown. This impacts a large majority of our Yellowjacket family.
Our Family Support Page: https://www.westville.k12.ok.us/page/family-support-center will have information on local resources providing food to families during this time.
Going along with our school motto, "Do Right" we want to try to help in every way we can during this time.
If your local organization/church is providing an outlet for food resources during this time, please let us know so we can have up-to-date information on our website.
We are all in this together. Your school family support specialists are here to help!"

There are several fun activities planned for our High School and Middle School students — but everyone can join in on the dress-up days!
👕 Monday: Wear Blue
💗 Thursday: Wear Pink
🎃 Friday: Celebrate Halloween!
Please remember — costumes should not include weapons or any type of bloody or gory elements.
Let’s show our school spirit all week long! 💜

🌟 High School/Middle School Staff Spotlight: Ashley Davis! 🌟
Mrs. Davis teaches 6th Grade Geography and has proudly been part of Westville for nine years!
She loves seeing those “that’s cool!” and “whoa!” moments when students discover something new. Watching them grow, build relationships, and overcome challenges is what she loves most about teaching. 💜
Mrs. Davis believes that truly connecting with students happens outside the classroom—by showing up for them, cheering them on, and taking time to listen.
🌟 Elementary Staff Spotlight: Alisha Morris! 🌟
Mrs. Morris is a 2nd-grade teacher at Westville Elementary! This is her first year back, but her eighth year overall in the district—she previously taught from 2008 to 2015. 💜
She loves teaching 2nd grade because her students are sweet, eager, and not “too cool for school” yet! Creative, crafty, and a little goofy, she enjoys making learning fun and building excitement in her classroom.
Outside of teaching, Mrs. Morris is known for her funny “mom lore,” love of crafting, and creating song parodies to celebrate special events and teach concepts. 🎶
Her advice to others:
💭 “Assume positive intent. You’ll be less likely to take offense and more likely to respond with compassion and understanding. Never keep a kind thought to yourself!”
We’re so grateful for Mrs. Davis' and Mrs. Morris' dedication, creativity, and heart for their students!

We’re sorry for the inconvenience — let’s go, Jackets! 💜💛

Join us on Wednesday, October 22, for our annual Walk & Roll to School Day!
Buses will drop off students at 7:45 a.m. by the north end of the track, and students will walk the track until 8:00 a.m.
Walking each day helps boost energy, improve focus, and strengthen both body and mind — a great way to start the school day!
Let’s get moving, Yellowjackets! 💜💛

Get ready to cheer on our Yellowjackets as they hit the court! 💜💛
